BOOK FAIR
Northshore Technical Community College is holding a book fair which started Monday, Oct 24 and will continue on until Friday, October 28. Vender is open Monday to Thursday 10 am to 3 pm, and Friday 10 am to 6 pm
VETERANS LUNCHEON
Northshore Technical Community College will be hosting a luncheon in honor of those students and retired veterans from Rest Haven who are currently serving and have served in the military. The Veteran’s Day Luncheon will be held at the Sullivan Campus Student Center on Friday, November 9. All Students and Rest Haven residents, are invited to attend. Estimated attendance is 200 people.
Fall Fest
Northshore Technical Community College’s Student Government Association and Care and Development of Young Children Department hosted the 2012 Fall Fest. Parents were welcomed to bring children from the ages 12 and under. Everyone was invited to come enjoy the festivities, such as games, fall pictures, treats and compete in the costume contest. It was a success. The kids kept running to get back in line just to ride the train. The children and parents enjoyed themselves and we hope to see more next year!
New Club Arises on Sullivan Campus
Phi Beta Lambda or Future Business Leaders of America held their first meeting since its founding today. Topics of discussions included a proposal for members to become active in the Toys for Tots fundraiser which is planned to start November 1. Phi beta Lambda also plans to host a raffle fundraiser, first place winning a dinner basket, second Place awarded a gift basket, and Third place awarded a Gift Card.
SGA Fair Float in Progress
SGA would like to thank all who were responsable for allowing this years fair float to have come so far. It all came out just as planned, but even better. We all worked very hard on the float this year, (special thanks to the ones who helped out and didn't have to) it was a great success! We won first place with the float prize!!!
Door Decoration contest around the college illustrate students’ Fall spirit. The door decoration contest came down to the wire as the Drafting and Design department barely claimed the first place prize. It followed by one to settle themselves second place in the competition. Keyboarding took third place falling short one point of a Tie.
