LACOMBE, La. — August 10, 2026 — Northshore Technical Community College (NTCC) School of Nursing and Health Sciences has achieved impressive pass rates on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for its Spring 2026 graduating cohorts. Across multiple campuses and programs, NTCC nursing graduates earned exceptional first-time pass rates that significantly outperform the national averages of 86.7% for NCLEX-RN and 86.2% NCLEX-PN.
The Spring 2026 results include:
- Lacombe Campus (Registered Nursing): Achieved a 96.5% pass rate among 29 graduates—marking NTCC’s largest graduating RN cohort to date.
- Hammond & Lacombe Campuses (Practical Nursing): Earned a flawless 100% pass rate across both Practical Nursing graduating cohorts.
- Sullivan Campus: Secured a 92.8% pass rate for its nursing graduates.
The NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN examinations serve as the essential national benchmarks for nursing competency and entry into professional practice. Achieving results well above national benchmarks highlights the quality of NTCC’s faculty instruction, hands-on clinical training, and student support systems.

"To see our largest RN cohort at Lacombe achieve a 96.5% pass rate alongside perfect scores in our Practical Nursing cohorts demonstrates the strength and consistency of our healthcare programs across all NTCC campuses. We could not be prouder of our May 2026 graduates as they step into essential roles within our healthcare workforce."
As healthcare facilities across Louisiana and the Gulf region face ongoing staffing needs due to the nursing critical supply shortage, NTCC’s graduating nurses are fully prepared to enter careers in healthcare.
