Library Services

Hello GATOR community! Welcome to the Library Services portion of your orientation. You may be asking yourself – What is a Learning Commons? Well, the Learning Commons powered by GATOR libraries is a space that provides each campus community with electronic library resources and research consultations, information literacy instruction, bookstore materials, technology access, librarian-led training & workshops, as well as student resource support & tutoring services. It is also a place to study & collaborate. The Learning Commons also provides research support & professional development for faculty.

Your GATOR librarians are housed at each campus location and are available to assist you with your research, using a computer, help you find an e-book or journal article for your paper, a video for your nursing class, help you with printing, show you search tips & tricks, visit your classroom for a lesson on how to use the library resources and host a wide variety of programs on such topics as stress management, financial literacy, career services, online tutoring services and other campus-based services. We also have a virtual chat service and you can always email us too!
