Lacombe, LA.— NORTHSHORE TECHNICAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE PARTNERS WITH BAYOU LACOMBE CARDINALS TO ADVANCE OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS AND PLAYERS
Lacombe, LA.—Northshore Technical Community College and the Bayou Lacombe Cardinals recently entered a Memorandum of Understanding that will mutually promote educational, recreational, and community service opportunities. The agreement will also enhance the awareness of both organizations and support mutual recruitment.
“Students who are interested in attending Northshore Technical Community College sometimes ask about participation in team sports,” said NTCC Chancellor William Wainwright, PhD. “While NTCC does not offer any athletics yet, this partnership will provide an opportunity for our students to support a local minor league football team. We will also refer students who might qualify to try out for the team.”
The Bayou Lacombe Cardinals mission is to provide guidance and opportunities for adult athletes while providing quality entertainment and community outreach for St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, and surrounding areas. “The educational attainment and workforce training offered by NTCC are opportunities that will greatly benefit our players,” said Bayou Lacombe Cardinals Executive Director Gerrin Narcisse. “This agreement helps provide a clear pathway for players to attend college close to home.”
