ESL - (English as a Second Language)


Thank you for your interest in the Northshore Technical Community College's ESL program!

This program is for students who speak other languages that are seeking to improve their English for work and life.  We are excited that you are taking the steps to build your future and enhance your career goals!  

ESL Orientation  Important Updates

Testing is part of the orientation process for students to enroll in the ESL program.

  • Students will need to bring their own pencils.
  • Students should be prepared to complete placement tests. (Approximately 2 - 3 hours)

ONLY THE STUDENT TESTING MAY COME TO THE CAMPUS OR INSTRUCTIONAL SITE FOR TESTING.  

After placement testing, students will be enrolled in the NTCC WRU-Adult Education ESL program.

Requirements

A valid government ID (a drivers license, visa, passport will be accepted as a valid government ID)  Only one type of government ID is necessary and required to test.
