[LACOMBE, LA] — January 22, 2026 — The Northshore Mustang Club (NMC) is proud to announce a $5,000 donation to Northshore Technical Community College (NTCC) to support degrees and certifications in Automotive Technology.
This contribution serves as an immediate boost to the college’s automotive program and is in addition to the club’s existing Northshore Mustang Club and Banner Ford Endowed Scholarship Fund. This latest gift continues a dedicated partnership that began in 2021, fueled by the club's commitment to fostering local technical talent.
The Northshore Mustang Club’s support is primarily funded through the proceeds of their highly anticipated annual car show at Banner Ford in Mandeville. Since the partnership’s inception four years ago, the club has played a pivotal role in the academic journeys of local students:
- 6 students have already received scholarships to date.
- 3 additional students are set to receive scholarships this year thanks to the club’s ongoing fundraising efforts.
As the automotive industry shifts toward more complex systems and electric platforms, the cost of specialized education and tools continues to rise. The Northshore Mustang Club’s contributions help bridge the gap for students who might otherwise face financial hurdles.
"Community support is the heartbeat of our institution," said Dr. Jim Carlson, Chancellor of NTCC. "Partnerships like the one we share with the Northshore Mustang Club and Banner Ford are vital for student success. Their generosity doesn't just pay for tuition; it sends a powerful message to our students that their community believes in their potential and is invested in their future careers."
While the Northshore Mustang Club and Banner Ford Endowed Scholarship provides permanent, long-term support for the program, this new $5,000 gift allows for immediate assistance to meet the urgent needs of the current cohort of aspiring technicians.
"Our club is about more than just a passion for the Ford Mustang; it’s about the community and the craft," said Wendy Quinlan, president of the Northshore Mustang Club. "We are thrilled to see the outstanding students impacted by this program since 2021, and we look forward to seeing them thrive in the workforce."
