NTCC student, Pamela Williams, SGA President
Lacombe, La. — Northshore Technical Community College (NTCC) proudly recognizes student Pamela Williams for her outstanding achievement in representing the college at the inaugural NACCE Entrepreneurship Competition, hosted by the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship.
Williams, who serves as Student Government Association President, participated in the national competition, which provides community college students with the opportunity to develop, pitch, and launch innovative business ideas. Through her hard work, creativity, and determination, she was awarded $4,000 in startup funding to support the launch of her business.
Her success marks an exciting milestone for NTCC, showcasing the growing opportunities available for students to engage in entrepreneurship and gain real-world business experience. Throughout the competition, Williams demonstrated professionalism, confidence, and innovation, representing NTCC with excellence.
“We are incredibly proud of Pamela and the way she represented Northshore Technical Community College on a national stage,” said Dr. Jim Carlson. “Her achievement reflects the talent, determination, and entrepreneurial spirit of our students. Opportunities like this not only empower our students to pursue their goals, but also strengthen the communities we serve through innovation and workforce development.”
Williams’ success was also recognized by Arlendra Zenon, Lead Instructor and Assistant Professor of the Care and Development of Young Children program and 2026 SkillsUSA Advisor of the Year, who has been instrumental in fostering student leadership, confidence, and career readiness both inside and outside the classroom.
“Pamela’s journey is a powerful example of what can happen when determination meets opportunity,” said Zenon. “She believed, she built, she succeeded.”
Reflecting on her experience, Williams emphasized the importance of personal accountability, confidence, and authenticity in achieving success.
“No one can do your push-ups for you. No one can sit in your seat, take your test, or live your life. Being a Gator means owning your journey, even when circumstances aren’t perfect,” said Williams.
“Your future belongs to you, and you are powerful enough to shape it,” she added. “The world is not waiting for you to copy someone else. It is waiting for you to show up fully and authentically as yourself. Your originality is your advantage.”
Williams’ accomplishment serves as an inspiration to her peers and highlights the impact of hands-on learning experiences that extend beyond the classroom. NTCC looks forward to supporting her continued success as she grows her business and encourages other students to explore similar opportunities.
