Lacombe, Louisiana — Northshore Technical Community College (NTCC) is proud to announce the launch of Alli, a new virtual assistant designed to enhance how the college responds to phone inquiries and supports students, prospective students, and the community.
In partnership with DisruptReady, NTCC is implementing an AI-powered call management system that will help answer common questions, route calls efficiently, and provide consistent, accurate information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Last year alone, NTCC received more than 87,000 phone calls. With dedicated but limited staff, the college recognized the need to improve response times and ensure that every caller can quickly access the information they need.
Alli is designed to assist with frequently asked questions and routine requests, such as:
- Admissions and enrollment information
- Program offerings and class details
- Campus locations and hours
- General student services
By handling these common inquiries, Alli helps reduce wait times and allows NTCC’s Student Affairs team to focus on more complex questions and personalized student support.
“This is about making it easier for people to connect with NTCC,” said Dr. Jim Carlson, Chancellor of NTCC. “With the number of calls we receive each year, we wanted to ensure that every student and community member can get accurate information quickly. Alli allows us to do that while still keeping our team focused on providing meaningful, one-on-one support where it matters most.”
The introduction of Alli reflects NTCC’s continued commitment to innovation and student-centered service. Rather than replacing personal interaction, the system is designed to enhance access, ensuring that help is always available while strengthening the college’s ability to serve each student effectively.
