Fall 2019 Term - Academic Calendars

Academic calendars for the Fall 2019 Term are available below. Two main semesters exist within the Fall 2019 Term, the Full Semester and the Second Start Semester. The Technical Block Schedule is provided for courses with varying course dates but are considered part of the Full Semester.

Important Notes:

Fall 2019 - Full Semester

April 1 - 2:

  • Priority registration period for veterans and active duty military.

April 3 - August 20:

  • Open registration period.

August 12:

  • Faculty report to campuses
  • Convocation

August 21: 

  • First day of Full Semester classes.

August 21 - 26:

  • Add/Drop Course Period
    • Considered as late registration first time registrants during this period. 

September 2:

  • Labor Day Holiday; NTCC campuses closed

September 10:

  • Last day to drop a course without a "W" grade.

September 11 - October 25:

  • Withdrawal Period: Course drops during this period are considered a "withdrawal" and are documented on the student record as a "W" grade.

September 26:

  • LCTCS Conference Day; No classes

October 11:

  • Last day to remove incomplete ("I") grades from prior semester
  • Mid-semester grades due (3:00pm)
  • Fall graduation application deadline

October 21 - 25:

  • Advising Week

October 25:

  • Last day to withdraw from classes

November 25 - 27:

  • Fall Break Holidays; NTCC campuses open

November 28 - 29:

  • Thanksgiving Holidays; NTCC campuses closed

December 7:

  • Final day of instruction for courses with a final examination

December 9 - 13:

  • Final examination week

December 13:

  • Final day of instruction for courses without a final examination

December 16:

  • Final grades due (9:00am)
  • Degree audit forms due (9:00am)

August 21:

  • First day of class

August 29:

  • Last day to drop a course without a "W" grade

August 30 - September 20:

  • Withdrawal Period: Course drops during this period are considered a "withdrawal" and are documented on the student record as a "W" grade.

September 20:

  • Last day to withdraw

October 11:

  • Final day of instruction

October 14:

  • First day of class

October 22:

  • Last day to drop a course without a "W" grade.

October 23 - November 15:

  • Withdrawal Period: Course drops during this period are considered a "withdrawal" and are documented on the student record as a "W" grade.

December 13:

  • Last day to drop a course without a "W" grade.

November 20 - December 4:

  • Withdrawal Period: Course drops during this period are considered a "withdrawal" and are documented on the student record as a "W" grade.

  • Last day to withdraw

Second 12 Weeks (Part of Term: L08)
