Fall 2022 Term - Academic Calendars
Academic calendars for the Fall term are available below. Two main semesters exist within the Fall term, the Full Semester and the Second Start Semester. The Technical Block Schedule is provided for courses with varying course dates but are considered part of the Full Semester.

Full Semester
March 28 - 29:
- Priority registration period for veterans and active duty military.
March 30 - August 16:
- Open registration period.
August 8:
- Faculty report to campuses
- Convocation (Location: Columbia Theater, Hammond, LA)
August 17:
- First day of Full Semester classes.
August 17 - 22:
- Add/Drop Course Period
- Considered as late registration for first-time registrants during this period.
September 5:
- Labor Day Holiday; NTCC campuses closed
September 6:
- Last day to drop a course without a "W" grade.
September 7 - October 28:
- Withdrawal Period: Course drops during this period are considered a "withdrawal" and are documented on the student record as a "W" grade.
October 7:
- Last day to remove incomplete ("I") grades from prior semester
- Mid-semester grades due (3:00pm)
- Fall graduation application deadline
October 24 - 28:
- Advising Week
October 28:
- Last day to withdraw from classes
November 21 - 23:
- Fall Break Holidays; NTCC campuses open
November 24 - 25:
- Thanksgiving Holidays; NTCC campuses closed
December 2:
- Final day of instruction for courses with a final examination
December 5 - 9:
- Final examination week
December 9:
- Final day of instruction for courses without a final examination
December 12:
- Final grades due (9:00am)
- Degree audit forms due (9:00am)

Technical Block Schedule
The Technical Block Schedule is provided for courses with varying course dates but are considered part of the Full Semester. Full Semester calendar dates apply to all Technical Block parts of terms and courses when alternate dates are not provided on specific calendars. Calendars for individual parts of term within the Technical Block Schedule are provided below.
August 17:
- First day of class
September 6:
- Last day to drop a course without a "W" grade
September 7 - 16:
- Withdrawal Period: Course drops during this period are considered a "withdrawal" and are documented on the student record as a "W" grade.
September 16:
- Last day to withdraw
October 7:
- Final day of instruction
October 10:
- First day of class
October 18:
- Last day to drop a course without a "W" grade.
October 19 - November 11:
- Withdrawal Period: Course drops during this period are considered a "withdrawal" and are documented on the student record as a "W" grade.
November 11:
- Last day to withdraw
December 9:
- Final day of instruction
August 17:

August 25:
- Last day to drop a course without a "W" grade.
August 26 - 31:
- Withdrawal Period: Course drops during this period are considered a "withdrawal" and are documented on the student record as a "W" grade.

September 21 - 28:

October 19 - 26:

- Last day to drop a course without a "W" grade.
November 16 - 30:

Second Start Semester
The Second Start Semester is part of the term but does not follow the full semester calendar. The academic calendar for the Second Start Semester is listed below:
