Proctored Testing Services
Northshore Technical Community College (NTCC) provides proctored testing services for individuals enrolled at other colleges and universities, as well as, those taking exams which require a proctor. Our Testing Center offers a secure and professional testing environment for exams that require an approved proctor.
All proctored exams are administered at the NTCC Lacombe Campus.

Proctoring Fee
There is a $33.50 proctoring fee per exam administered. All testing fees are non-refundable.
How to Schedule a Proctored Exam
Step 1: Register for Your Exam
Students must register with the NTCC Testing Center in advance.
When registering through RegisterBlast:
- Select “Different School/Institution (Non-NTCC Exam)” as your exam group
- Choose your preferred testing date and time
- Pay the required proctoring fee online
Step 2: Notify Your Instructor
Students are responsible for notifying their instructor of the selected testing date and time.
Step 3: Instructor Submission
Your instructor must complete and submit the required Instructor Proctor Request Form, so the Testing Center receives all instructions and exam details needed to administer your exam.
What You Need to Know
- All exams are computer-based unless otherwise specified by the instructor.
- Exams may include multiple-choice, essays, short answers, or other formats depending on instructor requirements.
- All exams are timed according to instructor guidelines.
- Students arriving late may not be allowed to test
- Requests for accommodations must be submitted to Disability Services at least two weeks prior to testing.
What to Bring on Test Day
Students must bring:
- A valid government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, passport, military ID, etc.)
- Any instructor-approved testing materials, if applicable
- Confirmation of exam registration/payment if requested
Testing Center Policies
The following items are not allowed in the testing room:
- Mobile phones
- Smartwatches or electronic devices
- Handheld computers or tablets
- Pagers
- Purses or bags
- Books or notes (unless approved by the instructor)
- Firearms or weapons
- Hats or non-religious head coverings
- All personal belongings must be stored in a secure area designated by Testing Center staff or returned to your vehicle. Students who refuse to store prohibited items will not be permitted to test.
After Your Exam
Completed exams will be submitted according to the instructor’s directions and institutional requirements.
