Spring 2025 Term - Academic Calendars

Academic calendars for the Spring term are available below. Two main semesters exist within the Spring term, the Full Semester and the Second Start Semester. The Technical Block Schedule is provided for courses with varying course dates but are considered part of the Full Semester.

Important Notes:

Full Semester

October 28 - 29:

• Priority registration period for veterans and active duty military.

October 30 - January 21:

• Open registration period.

January 13:

• Faculty Professional Development Day. Faculty report to campuses.

January 20:

• Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday; NTCC campuses closed.

January 22: 

• First day of Full Semester classes.

January 22 - January 27:

• Add/Drop Course Period
  • Considered as late registration first time registrants during this period. 

February 10:

• Last day to drop a course without a "W" grade.

• Please refer to the Payment and Refund Calendar for dates related to percentages of tuition refund. Paying for College

February 11 - April 4:

• Withdrawal Period: Course drops during this period are considered a "withdrawal" and are documented on the student record as a "W" grade.

March 3:

• Lundi Gras Student Holiday; NTCC campuses open

March 4:

• Mardi Gras Holiday; NTCC campuses closed

March 14:

• Last day to remove incomplete ("I") grades from prior semester
• Mid-semester grades due (3:00pm)
• Spring graduation application deadline

March 31 - April 4:

• Advising Week

April 4:

• Last day to withdraw from classes

April 18:

• Easter Holiday; NTCC campuses closed

April 21 - April 25:

• Spring Break Holiday; NTCC campuses open

May 9:

• Final day of instruction for courses with a final examination

May 12:

• Graduating students grade deadline

May 12 - 16:

• Final examination week (Academic Final Exam Schedule)

May 16:

• Final day of instruction for courses without a final examination

May 19:

• Final grades due (9:00am)
• Degree audit forms due (9:00am)

May 21:

• Commencement Ceremony at the University Center (6:00 pm)

Technical Block Schedule

The Technical Block Schedule is provided for courses with varying course dates but are considered part of the Full Semester. Full Semester calendar dates apply to all Technical Block parts of terms and courses when alternate dates are not provided on specific calendars. Calendars for individual parts of term within the Technical Block Schedule are provided below.

Second Start Semester

The Second Start Semester is part of the term but does not follow the full semester calendar. The academic calendar for the Second Start Semester is listed below: 

Academic Final Exam Schedule

The final exam schedule for academic and general education courses applies to all academic courses regardless of campus location. Students should confirm the final exam schedule and location for each course with faculty as there may be some approved exceptions to the schedule. Expand the section below to view the schedule.
