Workforce Training and Development

Short-term, workforce programs are offered by Northshore Technical Community College's Workforce Training and Development Division.  Please explore these classes that are starting soon or scroll down to view the complete list of workforce courses.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN

*EMT class launching January of 2026
*Class will be held at the Livingston Campus
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights from 6-9pm
* Limited scholarships available
* Program is approximately 20 weeks
*Earn a CPR certification
*Sit for the National EMT Certification upon successfully completing program.
*Use CRN 10880 to register

Certified Nursing Assistant Class

*Projected to start January 20th 
Held at the Livingston Campus 
*Monday–Thursday 9:00-2:30pm  

Requirements:

 *Must pass a background and drug screen
  *Must have reliable transportation
  *Daily full-time attendance in person

Heavy Equipment Operating Class

Starting soon at our Sullivan Campus in Bogalusa 
14 week class
Monday–Wednesday 8am-3:30pm 
Must be 18 years of age or older

Marine Service Technician Class

Starting soon at Lacombe Campus
NTCC partners with Yamaha Marine University to offer a Marine Service Technician Program. 
Students will receive Intro to Outboard Systems Certification  (Yamaha Marine University) and a Forklift Operator Safety Training Certification (Cintas/OSHA)
