Workforce Training and Development

Short-term, workforce programs are offered by Northshore Technical Community College's Workforce Training and Development Division.  Please explore these classes that are starting soon or scroll down to view the complete list of workforce courses.

Heavy Equipment Operating Course

Starting soon at our Sullivan and Florida Parishes Campuses
14 week class
Monday–Wednesday 8am-3:30pm 
Must be 18 years of age or older

Blended Learning CPR
(Online Learning and In-person Skills Check-off)

NTCC offers a flexible CPR program designed to fit your busy schedule. It includes online learning and a convenient in-person skills check-off.

The online learning portion is completed through the American Heart Association website, which costs $37.00 and paid directly to American Heart Association. The in-person skills session to demonstrate competency is administered through NTCC with flexible scheduling. This portion costs $45.00 and is paid directly to NTCC.

Follow the steps below to obtain your CPR certification. Please note that ALL steps must be completed in order to receive your BLS CPR card from NTCC.

Step 1: Complete the American Heart Association online training at your convenience. 

Step 2: Email Completion Certificate to Stacy Winters

Step 3: Complete the NTCC application, enroll in the Skills Check-off with CRN 30245, and pay for the class by following the steps to Apply and Enroll.

Step 4: Schedule Skills Check-off by contacting Stacy Winters at 985-545-1654 or stacywinters@northshorecollege.edu (Flexible scheduling)
