Federal Reporting
The IR Office is repsonsible for reporting institutional data to federal agencies such as the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS). IPEDS is a system of survey components that collects data from all institutions that provide postsecondary education and are eligible to receive Title IV funding across the United States and other U.S. jurisdictions. These data are used at the federal and state level for policy analysis and development; at the institutional level for benchmarking and peer analysis; and by students and parents, through the College Navigator, an online tool to aid in the college search process.
Data Feedback Reports provide institutions a context for examining the data they submit to IPEDS. The purpose of the reports are to provide institutional executives a useful resource and to help improve the quality and comparability of IPEDS data.
College Navigator provides selected IPEDS data to assist students, parents, high school counselors, and others obtain information from over nearly 6,000 postsecondary institutions in the United States and other areas. It offers a wide range of information including programs offered, retention and graduation rates, aid available, campus safety, accreditation, and estimated student expenses.
State Reporting

The intent is to coordinate a variety of personnel, financial, physical plant, and equipment resource data in order to determine facility requirements to accomplish selected goals and objectives and to provide the means for estimating costs to meet these requirements. The building inventory of the Facilities System is an index and description of all buildings and rooms at an institution. Building and room data are essential for allocating resources and analyzing use of these resources. The data are also useful for assigning available space as well as planning for future needed space. It provides administrative planners with indicators of the general condition of higher education facilities.
The Louisiana Legislature passed House Concurrent Resolution 69 (HCR 69)in the 2011 Legislative Session, replacing House Concurrent Resolution 197 of 2010.
