Occupational Advisory Committees

Each NTCC program of study at each campus location has an Occupational Advisory Committee (OAC) made of members from business and industry in the program field of study. Twice annually, during the fall and spring semesters, each program is evaluated during OAC meetings. OAC's evaluate programs based on the following schedule and criteria listed below. Recommendations recorded in the OAC meeting minutes.

  • Fall Semester Meetings: (1) Admissions Requirements, (2) Program Content, (3) Program Length, and (4) Program Objectives. Other items for review include a plan of work, committee groupings, business & industry visit report, and meeting minutes.
  • Spring Semester Meetings: (1) Program Equipment and materials, (2) Delivery Mode, and (3) Student Evaluation. Other items for review include a plan of work, committee groupings, employer verification form, business & industry visit report, and meeting minutes.
