NTCC's Lacombe Campus

65556 Centerpoint Blvd.

Patient Navigators support individuals as they move through the healthcare system by helping reduce barriers to care and improving access to services. They assist patients with scheduling appointments, understanding care plans, navigating insurance and financial resources, and connecting to community and social support services.

Working closely with healthcare providers and community organizations, Patient Navigators help ensure continuity of care and promote better health outcomes—especially for individuals who may face challenges accessing healthcare services. This role requires strong communication skills, cultural awareness, and a working knowledge of healthcare systems to help patients make informed decisions about their care.

The Inaugural Patient Navigator Summit will be held at NTCC's Lacombe Campus on June 4, 2026, from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM. Attendees will gain a better understanding of the role of the Patient Navigator, how Patient Navigators improve outcomes for patients, and how Patient Navigators are credentialed. Health Care Providers from throughout the greater Northshore region are invited to register for this summit to get a first look at how Patient Navigation can transform the patient experience in our community.
