Strong Roots in Mechatronics

In 2019, GNO, Inc., Laitram, McCormick, Elmer Chocolate, Delgado Community College, Northshore Technical Community College and Nunez Community College came together to develop the Mechatronics & Advanced Manufacturing Apprenticeship Program as a way to address the shortage of talent in the advanced manufacturing industry. The program teaches the fundamentals of mechatronics, a field that incorporates mechanics, electronics, and computer science with manufacturing to increase efficiency. Building on this unprecedented partnership, NTCC is launching the Advanced Manufacturing degree program.
